National Donut Day is June 3rd.

Donuts are one of life's simple pleasures. They were created sometime in the 1800's. Hanson Gregory claimed the invention of the donut in 1847, but it may have been invented earlier than that.

National Donut (or Doughnut) Day is the first Friday of June every year to celebrate the popularity of donuts served by the Salvation Army during World War I.

Amarillo has some great options for donuts.
