It warms my heart to hear and see wonderful things happen for children who are battling illness.  Especially and illness that could kill them.  Kye, a 7-year old battling leukemia had his wish to be Batman granted earlier in the month.  The Arlington Police department stepped up and put together a "fake" bank robbery for the little boy.

Even though this was not a local child or a local organization we do have an organization right here in Amarillo that grants the wishes of children who are facing life threatening illness.

That organization is called Make-A-Wish.  In fact if you would like to become a part of the team who helps grant these wishes then mark your calendar for April 28th.

Wish Granter training for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Amarillo

Saturday, April 28th from 9:00am-noon.

Wish Granters work directly with the families to determine the child’s one true wish and then play a key role in making it magical! Wish Granters work in pairs so bring your best friend, mom, significant other or team up with another trainee!
