Since when did it cost money for a right of passage like graduating high school? I know when I graduated I did (or my parents did) have to pay for invitations and the cap and gown however not for the ceremony itself. Students at a school in Florida are required to pay $20 to participate in graduation. If you think that's crazy, if parents are being charged to watch their child graduate and if you want a good seat, then the school is charging $200 for a premium seat.

Is it just me or is this ridiculous? I understand that the school has no budget for a graduation ceremony (which should have been accounted for in the process), but to ask parents to pay to watch much less $200 for a good seat?
