A Special Thank You From Mix 94.1 and the Children’s Miracle Network

I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for all your support over the last few days during the Children's Miracle Network.  We appreciate you joining us and letting us take over your radio for this awesome two days.  For me personally, this organization means so much.  For this city and the surrounding areas it means life or death for our kids, or it means avoiding financial disaster for a family.  Your generosity doesn't go unnoticed.

I have heard it said so many times that this is the me, generation, where everything is all about "me, me, me" and sometimes in my heart I have felt that people don't care anymore.  I'll be honest with you, by the end of the day yesterday I felt defeated.  I felt defeated because I just knew that we weren't going to meet even close to what we raised the year before.  Boy was I wrong, when that dry erase board was turned around and the total that we raised was revealed I literally turned into a blubbering idiot.

I even looked at Jodi with CMN and said are you sure that's right.

So thank you for helping us make Thursday and Friday about our kids.

Thank you for taking the time to listen.  Thank you for opening up your heart and donating.  Thank you to the families that were brave enough to share their stories, and thank you to Jodi and Molly who meet with these families at their lowest points and make sure they are taken care of in their time of need.
