Fans now have a clearer picture of what to expect from Adam Lambert‘s next album ‘Trespassing,’ thanks to Australian DJ Byron Cooke, who heard half a dozen new tracks during a listening session and spilled the details on his blog.

Cooke says the title track was written by Lambert with Pharrell Williams and evokes a strong Queen vibe with active guitars and a strong bass line. ‘Kickin In,’ also penned by Pharrell, is described as a club banger with the lyric, “She puts the shot glass down, she asks for another round, girl don’t you hit the ground, is it kickin’ in.”

‘Underneath’ takes Lambert back to his ‘American Idol‘ days by showing off his strong vocals, accompanied only by a sparse piano arrangement. The song was co-written by Josh Kear, best known for penning country tracks like Carrie Underwood‘s ‘Before He Cheats’ and Lady Antebellum‘s ‘Need You Now.’

‘Broken English’ is a slower love song, while ‘Cookoo’ is described as a “party jam.” The final song Cooke references is ‘Chokehold.’ While Cooke didn’t hear it, Lambert told him the song recalls ’90s Depeche Mode.

Cooke cautioned that the songs he heard weren’t finished versions, but rather rough mixes. In earlier interviews, Lambert revealed details about three other songs on the record — ‘Better Than I Know Myself,’ ‘Outlaws of Love’ and ‘Shady’ — which means we now have info about more than half the songs on ‘Trespassing.’ The album drops March 20.
