Amarillo City Council Makes Changes to the Public Forum
The Amarillo City Council holds regular meetings and during those meetings they have a time where the public can voice their concern and ask questions. They have made changes to this part of the meeting.
During their last meeting the Amarillo City Council made changes to the public forum portion of their meeting.
Starting tonight, those wanting to ask questions and voice their concerns will be able to do that at the start of the meeting. The public forum will last 30 minutes. Each speaker will only be allowed 3 minutes.
The Council may not discuss the items brought forth by the public however they may be placed on a future agenda or refereed to staff.
After the meeting a City Council member will be around to speak to the public.
If you do want to participate in the public forum you will need to complete a sign-in sheet. The form will be available in the Council Chambers located on the 3rd floor of City Hall. The form must be turned into the City Secretary before the start of the meeting.
