Amarillo Family Receives Home from Amarillo Habitat for Humanity

Amarillo Habitat for Humanity has helped out another family in Amarillo by providing them with a home.  They would like to invite you out for the blessing of this new home.

Norma Flores and her family will be receiving the keys to their very own home.  Amarillo Habitat for Humanity will be giving her the keys.  The Flores family isn't just receiving a home, they have put in hardwork as well to help other families get in to their own home.  They have put in more than 500 hours in volunteer work on other houses or at the ReStore.

Norma Flores has 3 children and 2 grandchildren, and has been caring for her sister's 5 children to keep them out of foster care.  They all lived in a one-bedroom duplex.  Their new home has 5-bedrooms and all the space the Flores family will need.

Allison Moorhead, Interim Executive Director of Amarillo Habitat for Humanity said,

“Norma’s story of perseverance has touched so many of us.  It will be such a joy and honor to give her the keys to her home before Christmas. We feel so blessed to be part of her story, especially the happy ending.”
