An Amarillo horse rescue has recently taken in 20 horses and needs your help.

Panhandle Safe Hayven Equine Rescue Is based in Amarillo and was founded to fill the need for a rescue facility dedicated to horses in the Panhandle.  The group has been working to fulfill that mission since 2003.

A local horse owner recently became unable to care of his animals due to personal health reasons.  He waited a bit too long to reach out for help and his horses have suffered.  Panhandle Safe Hayven has taken in 20 horses from his herd.  They all need worming, feet trimming, vaccinations, and more.

The horses are AQHA, purebred Arabian, and several crosses including paint.

Panhandle Safe Hayven is asking for your help with the rehabilitation effort for these horses.  They need round bales, protein tubs, portable corral panels, four round bale feeders, pasture feeders, and a 300-gallon round water tank.  Needless to say if you don’t have any of those things but want to help, consider a cash donation.

Go to Panhandle Safe Hayven’s homepage to learn more and to help.
