With all the hate and violence in the world, it's nice to know that there are awesome men and women that have dedicated their lives to protect us.  You will have a chance to meet some of them at the Amarillo Parks and Recreation Super Hero Night.

We have a lot of local heroes here in Amarillo, from police officers to firefighters to EMTs and more.  It's awesome to let your kids meet some of these awesome people and now they can.  Tuesday, July 26th, Amarillo Parks and Recreation is bringing them all together for Super Hero Night.

You will not only get to meet our local heroes, but there will be educators from all over Amarillo giving information about animal, water, fire, health, and many other safety topics.  It's all about being prepared for life's emergencies and appreciating the people who work hard to save lives.

It is also 'family night' so that means everyone can come and swim for $1.75.  And kids are encouraged to dress up in their favorite super hero costume!  And of course, there are always tons of fun games to play.

It all goes down Tuesday, July 26th, at Southeast Pool from 7-8:30 pm.
