While Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were in Washington, DC recently to screen Jolie’s new movie, ‘In the Land of Blood and Honey,’ they also dropped in on one of Pitt’s old acquaintances — President Obama.

Pitt first met Obama in 2009 to discuss his work rebuilding New Orleans’ 9th Ward after Hurricane Katrina. And on Wednesday, photographers spotted the Hollywood supercouple in the Oval Office, where White House spokeswoman Jamie Smith said President Obama “spoke with Ms. Jolie about her work to raise the profile of preventing mass atrocities and combating sexual violence against women.”

In addition, Jolie also met with CIA Director David Petraeus at the agency’s headquarters to get his perspective on cultural trends in Afghanistan for her work with Afghan refugees, an anonymous official said. They had a similar meeting in Baghdad in 2008.
