Artist Covers Potholes in Paris With Knitwork
Knitting seems to be a great past time for people first we reported someone knitting a life-size Ferrari, now a knitter is taking matters into his own hands.
Artist Juliana Santacruz Herrera was fed up with Paris' pothole problem. So, like any upstanding citizen, she did something about it.
Only in this case, instead of contacting her local representative, she took the matter into her own hands by knitting multi-colored plugs and filling in the crevices herself.
She calls her piece 'Projet Nid de Poule' (or Project Pothole), which you can view for yourself in this incredible time-lapse video of potholes being filled on Boulevard Belleville.
What a great way to reclaim public space!
