It won’t reach stores for another month, but Coldplay‘s new album, ‘Mylo Xyloto,’ is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the fall. And the band is doing a fine job of ramping up the buzz for ‘Mylo,’ releasing a pair of impeccably timed singles (‘Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall’ and ‘Paradise’) in between revealing the album artwork and track listing.
Have you forgotten that Lady Antebellum‘s new album, ‘Own the Night,’ is scheduled to come out next week?
Yeah, we didn’t think so. But just in case you had — or you were looking for a couple more sneak peeks at one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year — the band has posted two more clips of songs from the album.
With more than 40 albums, 20 number one singles, and the title ‘The Queen of Country’ to her name, Dolly Parton has certainly earned the right to share her thoughts on whatever topic she chooses — and when a British reporter asked her recently to weigh in on Lady Gaga, he could have been looking for nothing more than a few controversial quotes.
Leave it to Dolly, however, to accentuate the positive — and to find common ground with someone who may not appear similar to her.
The last time Kelly Clarkson cut a duet with a country star, the result was her number one hit with Jason Aldean, ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay,’ so it’s only natural that, during a recent Web chat, she was asked if she’d consider teaming up with any other artists.
The song was unveiled via a live premiere at Kelly’s official site, but if you missed it, don’t worry: she’s thoughtfully kept it up for your listening pleasure — and posted the lyrics, too, so you can read along while you celebrate her return.
Three weeks after a brutal public beating forced Gavin DeGraw to temporarily withdraw from his slot on the Maroon 5/Train tour, he’s back on the road.
DeGraw rejoined the tour last week, in time for its stop at the New York State Fair, and managed to get in a few dates at the tail end of his scheduled run, including shows in Uncasville, Conecticut; Syracuse, New York; and Holmdel, New Jersey.
Katy Perry also owns a piece of that crown, now that her latest single, ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),’ has crested the charts. It follows the first four number one hits from Perry’s latest album, ‘Teenage Dream’: ‘California Gurls,’ ‘Firework,’ ‘E.T.,’ and the title track.
Gomez, along with Ryan Seacrest, helped with the recent launch of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s new media center, christened The Voice. The center includes a recording studio, so Gomez joined an adorable young heart patient named Julia for a performance of her single ‘Who Says.’
With 3.5 million copies sold and chart-topping radio play around the world, Adele’s ‘Rolling in the Deep’ is arguably the song of 2011. You just can’t escape it these days — not even if you’re in the audience for a Linkin Park concert.
At a recent fan club show, band members Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda unveiled their unplugged version of ‘Rolling in the Deep,’ stripping it down to acoustic guitar and vocals. It offered not only a new take on the song, but a rarely seen side of Linkin Park, a band that has sold more than 50 million units (and won a pair of Grammys) on the strength of its loud, rap-tinged brand of rock.
