Lori Crofford

I started my radio career in 1995 when I walked into the Broadcasting Department of WTAMU. In March of 1997 I started my first "real" radio gig at Kat Country 101.9. Then in 2001 I joined Mix 94.1 and I've been doing Middays ever since. I love living in Amarillo, because it is such a great city with great history and lots of fun things to do. In my free time, I love spending time with my son, reading whatever I can get my hands on and watching movies. Plus, being in radio I love music. I love everything from Classical to Folk and everything in between except Hip Hop, not a fan. Oh and I need a 12-step program for Netflix, I just cannot quit Netflix and my Netflix binges.

If you are a parent, one of the most dreaded times of being a parent is taking your child to the doctor for their vaccinations.  It is horrible and unbearable.  They have to have them, but there is nothing you can do to keep it from hurting.  Then you're told, you'll have to hold their arms.  NO!  I can't do that.  However, this doctor has found a way to get babies through their shots.  This one laughs through the whole thing.

The Power of Cussing in Movies – A Paintball for Every Swear Word In the Average Movie [VIDEO]

I don't think we realize just how many swear words are in movies these days.  The first known swear word in a major motion picture came with Gone With The Wind.  From that point on it just got worse and worse and worse.  I was shocked when the latest Transformers movie dropped and f-bomb for really no apparent reason, knowing full well children younger than the rating would be watching that movie.  They hid behind the PG-13.  This video proves a point about swearing in movies.  It is pretty powerful.

Living With Autism: Sensory Overload

Every now and then I learn something new about autism.  As I have told you before I have a son living with a form of autism.  I don't fully understand him most of the time.  I don't understand how one day we can go shopping or go get him a hair cut and he is fine, and another day he has a full on meltdown.  Then this video came across my Facebook feed and it all made sense.  This is what sensory overload feels like to a person with autism.
