Michael J. Stevens is, by definition, a radio veteran. His career started in his hometown of Colorado Springs, CO. and has taken him and his family back and forth across the country a few times before landing in Amarillo on June 5, 1996. He freely shares stories of his career and life experiences, whether you want to hear them or not. He left the air some years ago but has never been too far away from it. You have probably heard his voice over the years on TV and radio pitching musical instruments, concerts and events, political candidates and, of course, Wonderland Park. When we asked what it would take to get him back on the air, he turned up his hearing aid and said, “What?” We slowly repeated the question and he finally answered, “The only thing I would be interested in is doing a local talk show.” And now, here we are. Stevens is married (over 30 years) the father of an amazing son, and G-Pa to two beautiful grandchildren who now rule his world. “I am honored to be part of the Townsquare Media Amarillo family and see nothing but great things for News Talk 940 KIXZ and our show, The Rise. Are we done here? It’s time for my nap.”

Sid Miller: Do You Know Who I Am? If Not, Here’s My Card
Sid Miller must carry a lot of business cards with him. He leaves a few behind when he feels he has been treated less than he thinks he deserves. Admits he does so quite often. Must be a hard man to please.
