Hey there, Rick Andrews here. I thought I would give you a little background about me. I was born and raised in Bangor, Maine and was bitten by the radio "bug" since the age of 7. By the time I was 14 years old I got my dream job and "cracked the mic" for the first time and have never looked back. My career has taken me from Maine, New York, California and New Mexico. Rick has been described as a "walking encyclopedia" of music info and trivia. When not on the air at Mix 94.1, I enjoy reading entertainment Biographies, Sci-Fi and management books. I also enjoy sketching, painting, drawing and practicing card & coin magic. You usually can find me on the air Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm.

I opened my front door last night and not only was I greeted by my little Pekingese MeMe, but also to the rhythm of falling water.
Could A Great Big World’s ‘Say Something’ Be The New ‘Endless Love?’ [VIDEO]
One of the greatest gifts that music can give us, when done exceptionally well, is bring us joy, sadness or take us back to a moment in time.
As I was listening to A Great Big World's 'Say Something' on the air today, it reminded me of a song that was one of the biggest records from 1981.
Michael Jackson Was The First To Have Five Top 40 Hits Off One Album – What Female Shares This Title? [VIDEO]

Which Music Award Show ‘Throws Down’ The Best Party: Grammys, AMA, CMA? [POLL]
I ended up turning on the last night's Grammy Awards about an hour into the show.
From what I've read on Facebook I probably caught the best part of the show - the middle.
I loved the performances from P!nk with Nate Reuss and Taylor Swift looked and sounded beautiful with her 'stripped down' version of 'All Too Well.' Plus, Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr was the main reason I turned it on at

‘Star Trek: The Art Of Juan Ortiz’ – A Book Every Fan And Art Lover Needs
'Star Trek: The Art of Juan Ortiz' is one of those books that combines two passions of mine, Star Trek and art.
I have been waiting for this book to hit Barnes and Noble, but they never had any in stock, so I went to their website and finally 'pulled the trigger' and ordered it.
I'm glad I did, because this is one of a handful of Trek books that are my favorites.
Five Songs Written About Dead Celebrities [VIDEO]
A great way people can deal with a loss is by writing their feelings down in a journal.
Or if you are one of the lucky ones, you can write a song, record it and (hopefully) get it on the radio.
As we approach Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday (1/20), it reminded me about songs that are played on the radio about celebrities who are no longer with us.
