Bam! Emeril Lagasse Joins ‘Top Chef’ as a Judge

One of the few reality shows I watch is Top Chef.  I love this show.  I have always enjoyed cooking shows, but this one pits some of the best up and coming chefs against each other to compete for the title Top Chef.  These competitors can get down right mean and nasty with each other, but I guess that is what happens when you throw 13 people or more in a house and a kitchen together.

Anyway, a lot of this show also has to do with the judges, the show is hosted by Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, and Gail Simmons are also judges.  Every season they have another big name chef join the show.  Last season it was Anthony Bourdain, this season, BAM! Emeril Lagasse will be taking Anthony's spot.

I cannot even begin to tell you how excited that I am and I cannot wait for the new season to start.

Hugh Acheson from last seasons Top Chef Masters will also join the judges panel.

Another thing that excites me about Season 9 of Top Chef, it will take place in Texas, and you know what they say about Texas.  Everything is bigger in Texas so I expect this show to go bigger and better!
