32% of mothers say the start of school is the most stressful time of year for them. Read on for other findings from a survey by Epsom Salt.

How many of these apply to you?

  • 30% of mothers say the winter holiday season is the second most stressful time of the year for them
  • 50% of mothers say the cost of clothes, supplies, fees, tuition and other back-to-school essentials stresses them out.
  • 39% of moms say their kids worry about having the "right" clothes and supplies, while 35% say their kids worry about making friends and getting along with other kids.

Moms say the leading ways they de-stress are watching TV (67%), reading a book (59%), taking a walk (45%), shopping or spending time with friends (both 44%) and taking a hot bath (41%).

Oddly enough, drinking wine did not rank high on the list.  If you went by what's on television, that would have been number one or two on the list.
