Bette Midler Gets In on the Lady Gaga Mermaid Controversey

So apparently, the supposed feud with Lady Gaga and Katy Perry about who had the mermaid ides first has moved on to include the one and only Bette Midler.  Lady Gaga has been performing in her YuYi mermaid persona in a wheelchair, but apparently, Bette thinks she stole the idea from her.

Bette Midler has been tweeting about or shall I say to Lady Gaga.

"I’m not sure @ladygaga knows that I’ve performed my mermaid in a wheelchair for millions of people -- and many of them are still alive....."

"Dear @ladygaga if you think a mermaid in a wheelchair seems familiar-it's because it is!You can see it on youtube 24/7-with ME performing it"

"Dear @ladygaga Ive been doing singing mermaid in a wheelchair since 1980-You can keep the meat dress and the firecracker[rhymes with hits] -mermaid's mine"

However, it doesn't seem that Bette is all that upset, I think she was being funny in her own diva way.

" @ladygaga, let's drink this over at the Emmys in September. Fabulous mermaids can coexist!"
