As if 'Glee' didn't already have a plethora of A-listers under its belt (read: Kate Hudson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Britney-freakin'-Spears), they've decided to add yet another in the form of Bette Midler.

'Glee' head honcho Ryan Murphy was at the God's Love We Deliver Golden Hearts Awards event, and when Midler took the stage, he asked if she'd be interested in joining the show. "I just asked the incredible Bette Midler to be on 'Glee' in front of 1,000 people," Murphy tweeted. "I hope she says yes!"

"And from the stage, @ryanmurphy invited me to guest on @Glee! I should get out more!!" tweeted Midler in response to the entire ordeal. Really though, Twitter is the means of everyone's conversations nowadays. How 'bout a phone call, people?

Just one day later, Murphy announced that Midler had accepted his offer and asked via Twitter what part 'Glee' fans would want her to play. Okay, he asked indirectly, but we know tons of fans flocked to offer their suggestions. Then again, we wonder if the youngsters who watch 'Glee' know who Bette Midler is -- considering it's darn near 'Hocus Pocus' time, we're hoping so!

Tweeting her own idea to Murphy, Midler thinks that perhaps she'd be quite the fitting grandmotherly figure to miss Rachel Berry.  "Ok, @rpmurphy, I have one vote for Rachel's grandmother," Midler wrote. "Hmmmm. I'm thinking, I'm thinking!!"
