So we are a few weeks into autumn. The cooler temperatures have certainly kicked in. The leaves will be changing soon.

It's not all good news though. There has been a list put together to let us know just how autumn can kill us! Yep, you read that right.

Don't say you haven't been warned!

I know you have noticed this....but the sun glare is a big one. As the days start to get shorter the problem is that the sun is more likely to be right in your eyes while you are going to and from work. Yes! This is a problem! Any day you are getting on I-40 you will notice that darn sun glare!

How about those wet leaves on the ground? You can find yourself slipping and falling on them. If that is not enough they can also hide road hazards, such as potholes.

If you have a fireplace this is another danger. Yes, they help keep you and your home comfy but they are also involved in about 23,000 house fires every year. So make sure you service your fireplace....make sure it is cleaned out for the upcoming cold spells and make sure the fire is completely out!

Another danger this time of year is all those pumpkin spiced candles. Well ok...maybe it is not limited to JUST the pumpkin spiced candles....but candles can be a hazard. Make sure when you leave the house or go to bed that all candles are blown out. You do not want to increase your chances of a house fire.

So if you can just be cautious and do your part. The autumn season can be the beauty we all have grown to love. Cooler temperatures and all.......
