March 6, 2012 One of my favorite store bought cookies in the world is Oreos. I love Oreos. A pile of oreos and a big fat glass of milk are the perfect ending to a long stressful day. If I could eat Oreos everyday with no consequences (you know like gaining 50 pounds) I would. I love to twist off the top, eat the creamy center and dunk the chocolate wafer, that is how I eat my Oreos. Whether you are a twister or a dunker or you do both like me, today is a celebration, the Oreo turns 100 today.
For the seventh year, February 28th is National Pancake Day. The day was started by well-known breakfast and pancake chain IHOP (International House of Pancakes) as the finale to a month-long charity drive for Children’s Miracle Network.
That glorious season is upon us again. The sweetest time of the year…Girl Scout Cookie time. It’s time to find those helpful little scouts and have them hook you up with the seasonal deliciousness that is probably one or two too many boxes of cookies.
February 24, 2012 I'll admit the only way I have ever eaten an oyster is fried. I have refused to try them raw out of a shell. The word "snot" comes to mind when I see one so I just cannot force myself to try one. However, lots of people do and love them. Take for instance, Pamela Levi, she loves oysters and eats a lot of them. However, one day while eating an oyster she found a gem, literally.
