The Tri to Make A Difference Triathlon is coming up on September 10th at Lake Tanglewood. The Tri was founded 11 years ago by a CMN dad as a way to help raise money for the Children's Miracle Network, in honor of his son.

We all know that Santa works year round like most of us.  He doesn't get a summer break but we usually don't see him this early in the year, but this year he'll be around to help out the Eveline Rivers Christmas Project.

The Amarillo SPCA is a no kill shelter in town that takes on a lot of animals and does their best to find them forever homes.  The shelter is usually at capacity.  The Amarillo SPCA is a non-profit organization and runs off donations from the community.  Our friends at the Amarillo SPCA are hosting a fundraiser on Friday at On the Border.

One of the great treats in life is enjoying a snow cone with your family.  Watching your child's eyes light up when they pick their flavor. "Momma I want Tiger's Blood, Rawr."  Then watching them enjoy that treat.  Now take that scenario and picture a terminally ill child having a possible last wish granted and then make plans for Tuesday, August 16th.

It's that time again when cyclists are getting their bikes in top shape and they are preparing to ride the rim of Palo Duro Canyon.  Bike MS: Valero Ride the Rim returns this Saturday.

It's the middle of July and the temps are hitting the triple digits but that doesn't stop Amarillo runners from running for a good cause.  So tighten up those laces and get ready to run.

Miracle Treat Day is an awesome day.  It's a day where you can get a sweet treat and help out local kids here in the Texas Panhandle.  Just stop by your favorite Dairy Queen on Miracle Treat Day and order up a Blizzard and at least $1 from every Blizzard sold on Miracle Treat Day will go to our local Children's Miracle Network.

The Maverick Boys and Girls Club is having their annual Amazing Race.  This is a fun race that you and a team member can take part in and they have some really great prizes up for grabs.

As women, we carry purses.  Purses are a great accessory and we love to find the perfect purse.  They could be quirky purses, they could be really expensive purses, they could be vintage purses, but no matter what kind of purse that's carried we still love it.  Big or little our purses are by our side.  Coming up this Friday, the Laura Bush Institute for Women's Health is having their annual Power
