  This time of year for us is an amazing time of year.  This is the time we get to meet amazing families.  Families who find that they are facing medical obstacles.  Families whose children are sick.  These families are the strongest you will ever meet and the kids are the sweetest.  We are gearing up for the Children's Miracle Network Celebration Radiothon on Thursday and Friday, May 8th and 9th.

It's that time of year, the time to March for Babies.  Hundreds will gather this Saturday in Thompson Park to walk and to raise awareness for premature birth.

The High Plains Food Bank helps provide food for over 29 counties in the Texas Panhandle.   They are always in need of food donation, however, they are in need of something a little different.  They need your help in collecting something you probably just throw away, egg cartons.

Christmas in Action is a non-profit group that does some very amazing things for low income families and elderly in the community.  So what exactly does Christmas in Action do?  Keep reading to find out.

Ministry Wings Aviation is a organization that helps get people on airplanes when they have a serious issue.  Those issues range from medical emergencies, humanitarian causes, and even ministries.  They team up with corporate aircraft to get people to their destination.  This weekend they are having a wonderful event you don't want to miss.

As you know the Children's Miracle Network Celebration Radiothon starts tomorrow.  In 2008 I was helping one of our local TV stations with the CMN Telethon.  As I stepped into the NICU I saw a girl that I went to high school with and she was in full NICU gowns and standing by the tiniest baby I have ever seen in person and that baby girl was Mylee.

Hunger in the Texas Panhandle is something that isn't going away.  Food is needed on a daily basis and people are going hungry.  Twenty-One years ago the National Association of Letter Carriers started an event called Stamp Out Hunger to help out the hungry and this Saturday they will continue that tradition and will collect food for the High Plains Food Bank.
