We're embarking on one year since the world lost Whitney Houston on the eve of the Grammys. In addition to being heartbreaking, the loss of Houston at such a pivotal moment in music was also difficult in terms of logistics: a tribute had to be paid to the fallen legend, and a new TV special will examine how her moving farewell came to fruition.

Billboard reports that CBS will air a special on the eve of the 2013 Grammys showing how producers and artists scrambled to get a proper and fitting tribute together for the late Houston. The special will feature interviews with LL Cool J, Taylor Swift (somewhat inexplicably) and Jennifer Hudson, who sang a heartwrenching rendition of 'I Will Always Love You' that brought down the house -- and brought most of us to tears.

The special will air Feb. 9, preceding the Feb. 10 awards show.

It's not the first Houston tribute to air since the singer's untimely passing. In summer 2012, the BET Awards had a moving tribute to Houston, and in November, Hudson and Usher performed in a television special for the late legend. Rest in peace, Aunt Nippy.
