Christmas Music on Mix 94.1

We posted a poll last week and have been asking you whether you want Christmas Music on Mix 94.1 or not.  Well, the results were astounding 92% of those who took the poll wanted Christmas Music.

Today Mix 94.1 became Amarillo's Official Holiday Music station.  We have had mixed reviews.  We have had several calls, emails and facebook posts.  Some love the fact that we are playing Christmas music today, some don't.

I just wanted to shine a little bit of light on why we decided to hand our transmitter over to Santa.  Well, when Santa says he wants Christmas music we give him Christmas music.  I jest.

Around here in radio world, we have noticed that a lot of people are just sad, depressed, struggling, and the all around negativity in this city, state, country and world is astounding.  So what could we do to make it a bit better?  Yep, Christmas music.  You either love it or hate it, but the fact is there is a Christmas song that will put a smile on your face, and when you hear it the warm fuzzys take over.

Christmas music is happy and I don't know about you, I think we need a little bit of happiness in our lives, We Need a Little Christmas, even though it may be a bit early.

Bring it on Santa, but remember I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas!
