The 7th Annual Louise Daniel Women’s History Luncheon and Women’s Equality Day Celebration is coming up Friday, August 26th. It will be from 11:30am to 1pm in the Great Hall at Polk Street Methodist Church, 1401 South Polk.  The guest speaker will be Sharon Peddy Baker, a long-time banker in Guymon, OK and Amarillo.  Her topic will be "Women Can Do Anything".  During her years in Guymon, she served at the first woman president of the Chamber of Commerce, as the first woman City Council member and as a founder of Leadership Oklahoma.

Cost for the event is $15 for students, $30 for others or $350 for a table for eight.  Reservations should be made by this Friday. Send a check made out to the Amarillo College Foundation to Danita McAnally at 6706 Michelle Drive, Amarillo 79109, noting that it’s for the Louise Daniel Luncheon.
