Just when you thought that 58th, between Western and Washington, was finished with construction, think again.  Construction on the final phase of this street will begin today.

The construction is set to start at Georgia Street and end at Washington.  Crews will begin work on the two north-side lanes of 58th St.  Traffic will be two-way on the south side lanes.

Once construction on the north-side lanes are complete then the south side lanes will be fixed.

Construction is set to be finished by Summer 2015.

Lane Closures this Week:

On SE Loop 335, expect various lane closures in both directions from Osage to IH-40 for fog-sealing and patching.

On the IH-27 frontage roads, expect lane closures in both directions from Sundown Lane to McCormick Road for seal-coat work.  Motorists should be aware of the potential of loose gravel on roadways associated with this project.

The Buffalo Stadium Road Bridge over US 87 in Canyon has been closed for reconstruction until December.

On IH-27, expect continued lane closures southbound at the Washington Street overpass for bridge joint work.  Traffic will be down to one lane each weekend from 7 PM Friday to about 7 AM Monday until the project is completed at the end of August.
