'Zero Dark Thirty' star Jessica Chastain seems to be omnipresent these days, popping up in every other movie like a gorgeous robot who does not need to sleep and never stops working. The next film on her increasingly lengthy resume will be 'Crimson Peak,' the mysterious horror film from director Guillermo del Toro.

Variety reports that the ever-busy Chastain will join the film's ensemble, which already includes the likes of Emma Stone, Charlie Hunnam and Benedict Cumberbatch. In other words, she won't be lacking for company if she enjoys working alongside cool, good-looking actors who everyone loves. We can't wait to see what torment del Toro puts these guys and gals through, considering he already worked with Chastain while producing 'Mama.'

As you probably know, del Toro's 'Pacific Rim' arrives this summer and it looks ready to light the geek world on fire. After the sheer size of that production, you can't blame him for scaling things back a bit for his follow-up film...and possibly scratching an itch that's been bugging him since his 'At the Mountains of Madness' died in development. We still don't know much about 'Crimson Peak' other than the fact that it's a "haunted house thriller," but it will mark del Toro's first return to pure horror (as a director) since 'The Devil's Backbone' in 2001. He's been sorely missed in the genre.

'Crimson Peak' will begin shooting in February 2014. A release date hasn't been announced yet, but we're expecting it for early-ish 2015.
