Anytime I have talked to anybody about Jamaica they always talk about the Dunn's River Falls.  I have heard a lot about this waterfall, so when Lony and I were in Jamaica we made sure this was a part of our itinerary.According to the Dunn's River Falls Website,

It is said to be the location of the legendary battle of "Las Chorreras". This battle was fought in the year, 1657 and took place near Dunn’s River Falls. It was between the English and the Spanish Expeditionary Force from Cuba. The battle was in fact for ownership of the island. The outcome of the battle was in favour of The English who won.

So after hearing everything great about the falls this is one place in Jamaica that was a must.  As a part of our 4x4 Jeep Safari was a visit to the Dunn's River Falls.  I must admit when I heard about the falls, I thought it was somewhat of a park type setting where this waterfall just flows freely and people can go and visit.  Little did we know that wasn't the case.

When you enter the park you are put with a tour guide and a large group of people.  Everyone in the group holds hand and the tour guide takes you up the falls.  It is a 600 ft climb from the bottom of the falls to the top and it is a unique experience.

I would have loved to share with you my own personal pictures but I don't have a waterproof camera so I didn't want to ruin my camera so I didn't take it with me.  The thing about climbing the Dunn's River Falls is you get soaked from head to toe.  So luckily I was able to find a picture of the falls.
