Therefore\, every two years the Chamber travels to our State Capitol with Panhandle business and community leaders to meet with our state legislators to discuss important legislative issues that affect the 26 Panhandle counties located in Texas. The purpose of Panhandle Days is to deliver a unified message to our state legislators on important legislative issues\, such as the agriculture\, arts\, education\, energy\, healthcare\, and workforce development. We encourage all Panhandle residents to join forces with business and community leaders by traveling together to our State Capitol in Austin for Panhandle Days on February 18-19 2013. Registered participants and state legislators will attend a reception on February 18 and on February 19 meet for a breakfast before spending most of the day on Capitol grounds visiting state legislators. Registered participants will receive the event's itinerary and legislative report the week of February 18. For more information about the itinerary or legislative report\, contact Jason Harrison at 342-2018.The registration fee to attend the reception\, breakfast and meet with our state legislators is $125 per participant. The Chamber will accept registration through January 31\, 2013. Online registration is required\, CLICK HERE to submit. Participants must keep confirmation received via email as their receipt. The confirmation will include important details about the event\, and should be read carefully.
