Goonies Never Say Die – A Sequel May Be Happening!

I have loved The Goonies since I first saw the movie back in the 80s.  There was just something about those treasure hunting kids, trying to take the man down.  

Richard Donner, Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus created such a wonderful fun movie with such a wonderful cast it was hard not to love the movie.

I remember a few years ago(it might have been more than that.  A few years in my head could be 5-10), I read a script that was floating around over the internet claiming to be the script for the sequel.  It very well could've been fan fiction, but I loved every page of it.

This is the one of the few movies I have always wanted to see a sequel made (Ferris Bueller's Day Off would be another great one to see, if they don't hurry all the former actors won't be available).

I don't want to ever see this movie remade, however a sequel would be fun.  A few of the original actors have died,  Mama Fratelli (Anne Ramsey), Sloth (John Matuszak) and Mr. Walsh (Keith Walker).  However, all of the other actors except for a few have gone on and had some decent movie and TV careers.

So will there been a sequel to Goonies?  A few years ago Josh Brolin let it slip that there was indeed a script for the sequel.

So will there or won't there be a sequel?

Let me just say I am super excited!
