Is This Sexist?

A survey by UKJobs.net reveals that 66% of people would rather work for a man than a woman. Read on for other findings.  33% of employees feel female bosses are 'loose cannons' and ready to stab colleagues in the back at any time.

37% of workers believe women make terrible bosses because they can't help but bitch about senior management and people they employ.

30% of people claim it is obvious when female bosses are hormonal.

15% of employees find female bosses a bit too sharp-tongued.

15% of employees say female bosses are more worried about their appearance than their workloads.

According to an article on Americanexpress.com, here are 3 reasons why women make better bosses:

1. Communication.  Women are better listeners than men. This is key in managing people.
2. Women Are Better Community Builders.  Those that know how to build cooperative relationships, are becoming more successful than traditional “alpha managers.”
3. Women Have Stronger Business Ethics.  Women, who are effective managers, “acknowledge and consider the rights of others in the pursuit of fairness … that is consistently applied in a non-arbitrary fashion.”
