It’s National Lemonade Day – Let’s Celebrate With A Big Tall Glass
I like lemonade, I wouldn’t say I drink it all the time, but an occasional glass is great. Today is the day for that glass of lemonade since it is National Lemonade Day.
It is said that lemonade got its start in early Egypt.
Pete Conklin invented the Pink Lemonade in 1857.
So in honor of today, run and get yourself a big glass or make a big ‘ol pitcher.

1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water (for the syrup)
1 tablespoon of lemon zest
2 cups of fresh-squeezed lemon juice
3-4 cups water (for the drink)
Boil the sugar and water in a saucepan over the stove. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved. Set aside.
In a large pitcher add the lemon zest, lemon juice, sugar syrup, and 4 cups of water.
Refrigerate until cool & enjoy!
For a tasty twist add strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or any fruit you see fit.
