In a move that should upset Katniss Everdeen fans and those who harbor serious girl crushes on Jennifer Lawrence, the actress, who has barely had a second to breathe since her career caught fire (!), is reportedly taking a much-needed, totally deserved year-long break.

Lawrence, 23, has been go! go! go! for quite some time, and Harvey Weinstein, the movie exec behind 'Silver Linings Playbook' -- the film which earned J. Law her 2013 Best Actress Oscar -- has gone on record to reveal Lawrence's plans as well as his support of them.

"She's going to have a long break for a year where she won't do anything," Weinstein said. "It's been non-stop for her, and she deserves a rest."

We don't disagree.

J. Law's first 'The Hunger Games' film was followed by her awards season run for 'Playbook' and then the 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' promo cycle, during which she discussed how she got sick on set and during the press activities. The actress burned the candle at both ends, since she was also filming the next installments of the 'THG' franchise.

While many Hollywood insiders think that actresses need to keep going in order to stay hot, Lawrence is likely exhausted.

"Jennifer is too nice and will do people favors and agrees to do a movie like 'American Hustle' when she could have had a rest," Weinstein said.

Yeah, well, she was also nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her work in that film, so it's not like it was a favor with no benefit or return!

Weinstein also said, "She signed on to do 'Hunger Games' when she was young and wouldn't have realized how much it would dominate her life. But she's a professional and always will be."

We're sure that the Dior spokeswoman -- see her amazing, minimal makeup shots here -- has no regrets, since these savvy career choices put her on the map and brought her much success. But she is certainly entitled to a break, and it will give her fanbase and Hollywood a reason to miss her and thus welcome her back when she is refreshed.
