While this news may provide some information to help piece together the circumstances of Lee Thompson Young's death for his loved ones, friends and family, it may not offer any sort of closure. The actor, 29, was found dead in his Hollywood apartment on Aug. 19, and the death certificate has revealed the cause of his passing.

According to TMZ, the document reveals that Young died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, and his death was ruled a suicide.

Young had a promising Hollywood career. He got his start as the titular character on Disney's 'The Famous Jett Jackson' back in 1998 and had been starring in the TNT cop drama 'Rizzoli and Isles.' He failed to report to work earlier this summer, and that's when his lifeless body was discovered.

Young did not leave a suicide note, further deepening the mystery as to why he would take his own life. He was reportedly suffering from "depression issues," which could have played a part in his suicide.
