It seems to be inevitable that weight gain will happen this holiday season....right? It is so hard to pass up all the good food.

Well maybe we can at least minimize the calories? Maybe just a little. Here are the main culprits of the calories and the foods we need to avoid.

Number one on the list is eggnog. First we know that alcohol has a lot of calories but then you add stuff like eggs, sugar and cream. Yep a diet killer. Eggnog can have about 350 calories in a cup and a light beer can have around 100.

Deviled Eggs are also a no brainer. They have twice as many calories as a regular egg because of all the mayo. One deviled egg has about an entire day's worth of cholesterol. Talk about dangerous because how many can you eat in one sitting?

Another dangerous item is meatballs. Let's face it they have tons of fat! So try to avoid them at all costs.

I know it seems that anything that has the words spinach or artichoke in the name must be healthy....right? Yeah avoid the spinach-artichoke dip. Just do! It has a ton of cheese and sour cream....which is why it tastes so good.

So let's try to be a little on the good side this holiday season. It is tough but you will feel a lot better if you avoid these foods.
