Ricky’s Towing was started in March of 1999 by Ricky Cantu. He left a partnership to start a towing company by himself. He was a partner in C&C Towing with his brother Eddie Cantu and Jim Hooks. C&C Towing was founded in 1995 and later sold to a competitor. Ricky’s Towing was started with a one ton Chevy wrecker, a one ton Chevy rollback, an international rollback and a semi tractor with a lowboy trailer. Ricky’s Towing was started at 1520 SE 3rd street in Amarillo, Texas.

In 2003, Ricky purchased the property across the street at 305 S Williams with the help of Kent Rogers and his banker Greg Burgess at First Capital Bank of Texas. With a lot of hard work and dedication to the towing industry, Ricky’s Towing has out grown both properties and is now relocated at 3710 Tradewind Street.

Ricky’s Towing has three semi wreckers and five rollbacks available. It has a lowboy trailer, reefer trailer, dry van trailer and a flat bed trailer, skid loader with forks, grapple bucket, angle broom and auger. Ricky's also has a heavy loader with a 35,000 lb. lifting capacity with forks and bucket.

Ricky’s Towing handles everything from small vehicles and pick-ups, to medium duty work trucks and heavy work vans to tractor trailer commercial haulers, RV’s, buses but most importantly, if it is made to move Ricky’s Towing can tow it for you. Ricky Cantu and his family thank Amarillo and the surrounding area for all their business.
