Late Saturday night I stumbled upon a channel that was running back-to-back concerts from the 80's. Bands like The Cure, R.E.M & U2, but it was a group that was part of the MTV generation that made me stop and watch. This group began in Birmingham, England in 1978 and took their name from the villian in Jane Fonda's movie, "Barbarella."

In the early 80's the group had 3 members with the last name Taylor (Andy, Roger & John) and non of them were related.  Along with Nick Rhodes on keyboards and the signature voice of Simon LeBon, Duran Duran had huge success in the 80's.

MTV is credited in helping launch their career with stylized videos for; "Hungry Like The Wolf," "Rio," and "The Reflex".

When going through and listening to all the songs they had, I was torn between 2-songs to choose from for this week's MyPod. Both you hardly ever hear on the radio anymore.

The first was "Save A Prayer." This was played more as an album track and was never released as a single. But, my fav double Duran song came from 1983 and was a top-5 hit.

Enjoy this week's MyPod pick from Duran Duran-"Is There Something I Should Know."
