Panhandle Plains Historical Museum Hosts a Walking Tour of Historic Canyon
I find it funny that we live in places, we grow up in places and sometimes we don't ever know the real history of the city we live. That's why I love that the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum is always hosting events that teach us about the rich history in our cities. Coming up on December 17th you are going to have the opportunity to learn more about Canyon, Texas and its history.
The Panhandle Plains Historical Museum is hosting a walking tour of Canyon.
The walking tour will start at 10 am at the Canyon Municipal Courthouse.
Public Historian an the former Curator of History at the museum, Bill Green will host the tour.
Find out how the square in Canyon was developed. Did you know that fires nearly destroyed the city? You'll learn all about them and hear the stories that shaped the city.
The tour will last about 1 1/2 hours.
Cost of the tour is $15 per person and space is limited.
