Matthew Perry attended a Los Angeles Kings hockey game (as usual) on Friday, May 10 -- hours after NBC announced the cancellation of his show 'Go On' -- when an ill-informed broadcaster decided to congratulate him.

NBC made the big announcement earlier that day, adding to Perry's contributions to the 'Friends' curse. (Perry's shows 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip' and 'Mr. Sunshine' also died prematurely.)

"For a guy like you, big news today. And congratulations is in order," the reporter said. And when Perry asked if he was talking about his show getting the axe, the corespondent nodded enthusiastically.

"You know, the show that I was doing was really getting in the way of some Kings games," Perry wryly explained.

It was painfully awkward. But, hey, at least the Kings won.
