Rick’s Most ‘Un-Excellent’ Adventure: When The Water Pipe Breaks [VIDEO]

It's kind of ironic that it was just a few days ago I had written a story about how to prevent your pipes from freezing up during the recent batch of cold weather we've been having in Amarillo.

I opened my front door last night and not only was I greeted by my little Pekingese MeMe, but also to the rhythm of falling water.My kitchen floor was pretty much soaked.

After a visit from Chris and Shane from Scottco it was time for a trip to Home Depot where I rented one of their air blowers and picked up a Wet/Dry Vac.

It's amazing how a thin hair line split in a little piece of copper pipe could toss my evening upside down.

It could have been a lot worse. Nothing was damaged, but the kitchen ceiling will have to be replaced.
