Rick’s Top 5 Turkeys from the 80’s [VIDEOS]
As we continue our Thanksgiving Weekend, I'm sure we are all recovering from our Tryptophan hangover. So, keeping with the tradition and theme of turkeys, I thought I would share my top 5 'turkeys' with you.
These are not the type that we set in the middle of the table and carve, but actually listen to. These 'turkeys' are songs that, when they first got played on the radio, you might have liked or even loved. But the years have been unkind to these 'turkeys.' A little over 30 years later, we may hear one of these and think, 'Wow! I liked that song back then?'
So, without further adieux let's sit back at the table and serve up my top 5 'turkeys' from the 1980's.

Naughty Naughty - John Parr
#23 (1984)
This was one of two hits from John Parr. You may remember his better known tune, 'St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion).'

Key Largo - Berti Higgins
#8 (1981)
This one hit-wonder makes reference of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.

Puttin' On The Ritz - Taco
#4 (1983)
Every time I see this video, I can't help thinking of Tim Curry's character in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

Xanadu - Olivia Newton-John & Electric Light Orchestra
#8 (1980)
I have always been a fan of Olivia Newton John and ELO, but this tune was just downright indigestible. The only thing that was worse was the movie of the same name, starring ONJ and Gene Kelly.
