Salvation Army Angel Tree is Ready at Westgate Mall

Every year the Salvation Army has their Angel Tree. This year is no different, that is why they need your help. They need you to go and pick and angel off the tree and make sure that angel is taken care of at Christmas.

The tree is set up just off of center court of Westgate Mall in front of The Buckle. The tree will feature angels that need to be adopted.

Each angel represents a child here in the Amarillo area. The angel includes their first name, age, sizes, and a wish list of what they would like.

So here’s how it works.

You, your family, your co-workers go to Westgate Mall.

You pick and angel off the tree, (or two, or three or ten).

You go an buy presents for your angel.

You drop your unwrapped packages back at the Angel Tree by December 14th.

This is a great idea to help get your children involved in giving. Take them with you to pick out an angel. Maybe they could pick out an angel their age. Then you can take them shopping and let them pick out clothes and toys for their angel. If you have a little girl that is 8 years old, then she could pick out an angel that is 8 years old and also a girl.

This could create a tradition in your family. Something that you do every single year.

Remember all the Angel gifts must be returned by December 13th.
