Researchers at the University of Birmingham say drinking a pint of water before meals is the key to losing weight. Dr Helen Parretti tells the Daily Mirror that test subjects, who downed water before meals lost almost 3 pounds more over 12 weeks. "Just drinking a pint of water, three times a day, before your main meals may help reduce your weight. When combined with brief instructions on how to increase your amount of physical activity and on a healthy diet, this seems to help people to achieve some extra weight loss - at a moderate and healthy rate. It's something that doesn't take much work to integrate into our busy everyday lives."

Now I've been on a diet called the "Advocare 24-Day Challenge".  They actually require you to drink LOTS of water all throughout the day.  You take your weight, divide it by 2, and drink that many ounces of water per day.  Combine that with healthy eating, and I've lost 10 pounds in 20 days!
