Sprint to Offer the iPhone in October

I have never been the most up to date in technology in my circle. In fact, I'm completely out of the most up to date technology group. However, I may be one of the ones who is hip and cool come October.

When I was at my remote at Amarillo National Bank yesterday, I was talking with one of my co-workers about how my phone should be extinct. I'm always the one getting in on the hot cell phone technology at the end of its coolness. I, at the moment have the Blackberry Curve 8330.

It is way past it's cool date. I use it for what I need to use it for, I make calls and texts, yes I can even use the internet. However, when it comes to new cool apps, not a chance. Angry Birds, what is that?

I was asked how the new Radio Pup app for Mix 94.1 worked and I was clueless. Why? Well I have never had an iPhone or Android, I don't know how they work, so I was technologically dumb at that moment and a little embarrassed. I should know how it works, but no chance on my archaic Blackberry.

OK, so what am I getting at? Sprint will FINALLY offer the iPhone in October. Not just any iPhone but the new iPhone 5! They will also offer the iPhone 4 as well. Sprint users all over the world rejoice! You will no longer be barred from owning the greatest piece of technology since Alexander Graham Bell made the first phone call, the iPhone.

From the Wall Street Journal:

Sprint Nextel Corp. will begin selling the new version of the Apple iPhone in mid-October, people familiar with the matter said, filling a huge hole in the No. 3 U.S. carrier's lineup and giving Apple Inc. another sales channel for its popular gadget.

I have been over due for an upgrade for a year, I was going to upgrade to the Android so I would finally be one of the cool kids, but finances at the time didn't allow it. Yay! Since I haven't upgraded yet, I will save up and upgrade in October to the iPhone 5.

Yep, I have never owned an iPhone or really even played with one, so I will jump in headfirst and love every minute of it!
