3-D Movies Are Not Worth the Extra Money

So over the weekend, we went to the theater to watch "Pirates Of the Caribben: On Stranger Tides." I made the decision to go and see the movie in IMAX, and after the fact I realized I had made a bad decision. The bad decision wasn't the movie. The fourth installment of the franchise was very good. In fact, it was better than the third and dare I say the second. The bad decision was forking over the $12.50 per ticket to see it in IMAX.

As if James Cameron doesn't have enough money to live on, he will have even more to blow.

Paramount announced Thursday that it will re-release the Oscar-winning drama on April 6, 2012 ... in 3-D.

Can you see it now, Leonardo DiCaprio almost touching your face when he screams "I'm the King of the World."

In a statement, the film's director, James Cameron, said, "There's a whole generation that's never seen 'Titanic' as it was meant to be seen, on the big screen. And this will be 'Titanic' as you've never seen it before, digitally re-mastered at 4K and painstakingly converted to 3D. With the emotional power intact and the images more powerful than ever, this will be an epic experience for fans and newcomers alike."

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Again?

I love a good scary/horror movie. I like to be scared, however, some don't scare you at all and others scare you to where you don't want to sleep by yourself. For me, The Strangers was that kind of scary movie, I still get goose bumps when I think about it. Back in 1974 one particular movie did that to most people. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was released in theaters. Many remakes and redos of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre have hit the big screen over the years. Some were scary and some just down right ridiculous.
