Upon her cancellation of all 2011 performances, Adele was subject to a Twitter frenzy claiming the chanteuse had throat cancer. Rest easy: It’s not true!
Some good and bad news for Adele fans. We’ll start with the bad news: The soulful siren has cancelled all of her remaining 2011 performances to undergo throat surgery.
On Tuesday, British singer Adele announced she’s canceling her US tour because of throat problems — only a few months after she canceled part of her North American tour for the same reason.
Chanteuse Adele, whose smash album ’21′ has sold an estimated 10 million copies and is the best-selling album of 2011 in both the US and the singer’s native UK, recently told Spinner that she’s mended fences with the man who broke her heart and inspired the songs on the record.
“We’re becoming friends again,” she told a London audience this week. “It’s alright, I know what I’m doing. Enough time has gone by now.”
The last time Kelly Clarkson cut a duet with a country star, the result was her number one hit with Jason Aldean, ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay,’ so it’s only natural that, during a recent Web chat, she was asked if she’d consider teaming up with any other artists.
