I drive by this empty building every single day. I miss it being a place that I could stop for a great meal. I'm talking about the old Gardski's location.
I have seen many of employers here in Amarillo that are hurting for employees. This has been a problem for some time now. As business is picking up all over the place it is evident that something has got to give.
I remember when I first moved out I enjoyed checking my mail each and every day. I had a minor sense of excitement of what may be coming in each day. That excitement seems to dwindle as I realize it is always bills that are coming in.
I am probably the guiltiest when it comes to this. How many old and previously used water bottles do you have around your house? How about in your car? I use one of those plastic water bottles you but in the store and then I reuse.
We made it through the Super Bowl without having to worry about this shortage. Now officially another item will be missing from the store shelves in Amarillo. This one will not only hurt our Amarillo stomachs but all of the US.
One of the things I love about Amarillo is our choices when it comes to going out to eat? I mean we have just about any type of food. You want Mexican food. We have you covered.
I am a fan of McDonald's hot mustard. I don't like ketchup so I use it for my fries. One day I went and ordered my regular Big Mac Meal and wanted hot mustard and I was told they don't carry it anymore.
So we have had a lot of celebrations in the past few months. We had Thanksgiving. Right after that was Christmas. Oh and don't forget New Years. Now it's all back to the everyday life.
