The Tradition Continues In Umbarger with the 65th Annual St. Mary’s German Sausage Festival

I remember vividly as a little girl, my dad would pack us all in the car and say we're going to Umbarger.  We were always like, "why are we going to Umbarger?"  We lived in Hereford so why would we go to Umbarger, it's just a small little town in between Hereford and Canyon.  Well he would always pack us in the car and take us to Umbarger to enjoy their German Sausage meal at St. Mary's Catholic Church.  It was good.  Luckily the tradition continues and you can pack the family up in the car and make the short trip to Umbarger to enjoy some delicious German Sausage.

5 Ways to Beat the Time Change

I don't know about you, but I'm kind of dragging today.  I know we got an extra hour of sleep over the weekend, but does that extra hour make a difference if you wake up an hour early?  I don't know about you by my internal clock is still set on Daylight Saving Time.  All day yesterday I kept looking at the clock thinking, "is it bedtime, nope, it's only 5:30pm."  It will take some adjusting, but we'll get used to about the time we spring back.

Amarillo Parks Suffer Because People Don’t Clean Up After Themselves

I've been meaning to write this for awhile and I just haven't sit down and concentrated enough on what I experienced. I'm still somewhat disgusted by the whole thing, and I actually questioned the human existence and what has happened to common courtesy. Then, I realized that I might be a part of the problem as well.  So what am I talking about?  Well it all began when my son Ethan and I decided to go over to McDonald Lake and walk around and feed the ducks.
