We had a beautiful dog come in this week for the Mix Pet of the Week.  Levi is a basset hound mix and needs a good home.  He is handsome and calm and gives the best kisses.

The zoo is always a fun time!  The Amarillo Zoo does an amazing job at hosting events for the entire family to enjoy.  They are inviting you 'Chill Out' with the animals.

These guys were working on clearing trees out of an area.  They went to move a baby deer for the area so it wouldn't get hit by a tree.  However, when they went to put the deer down, it cried.  So it looks like they are stuck carrying and rubbing the belly of a baby deer.

Mutts are the best dogs in the world.  They are loving, they are loyal and they are unique.  No two mutts are the same.   My Bailey is a mutt and she has been the best dog in the world.  Not sure what she is, but I think she's part Pomeranian because her tail curls and she has the pom hair texture without the poof, and part beagle. On this Independence Day, let's take a moment to show our love for our country. And what better way than by listening to goats belt out the national anthem?

When I walked up front and saw Lexi sitting in my lobby, all I could say was she is such a beautiful dog.   If I didn't already have 3 animals, I would have looked at Patti and said, we aren't taping a video today.  She is coming home with me.  Lexi needs a good home and she is available for adoption at the Amarillo SPCA.

When I hear stories like this it breaks my heart.  A dog was abandoned by its owners after they moved away and was forced to live on the streets.  When a rescue group found him, he was angry, scared, matted, dirty and alone.  However, that changed.

Get mooving to the Amarillo Zoo on Saturday, June 21st for an absolutely moovelous time.  They will be celebrating the farm and ranch life with fun activities and fun chats.
